Snowfall countermeasures! Roof snow melting (metal roofing/panel concealed type)

The sheet metal finishing is compatible with tile batten roofing, horizontal batten roofing, vertical seam roofing, flat roofing, and more!

"Roof Snow Melting (Metal Roofing / Concealed Panel Type)" is one of our representative construction methods. We lay our original snow melting panels under the metal roofing, and by circulating heated antifreeze through the pipes arranged in the grooves of the panels, heat conduction occurs in the order of pipes → panels → metal roofing → snow, melting the snow. This method is adopted in new constructions, when replacing aging metal roofing, or when one prefers not to choose exposed piping to reduce running costs. 【Features】 ■ Since the piping is embedded under the metal roofing, the temperature of the hot water does not drop easily. ■ There is minimal heat loss. ■ Running costs tend to be relatively low. ■ Numerous construction examples available. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Roof Snow Melting System "Yukidoke Haruo-kun"

Melting the snow on the roof cleanly with just the heat from the well water.

"Yukidoke Haruo-kun" is a system that efficiently melts snow on roofs using the thermal energy of well water, which is only about 15°C, without sprinkling water. We have uniquely developed a heat conduction pipe with a D-shaped cross-section and a flat bottom, significantly improving the heat transfer efficiency to the snow melting board compared to conventional round pipes. By spraying the return water (around 10°C) after melting the snow on the roof onto the ground, we can simultaneously melt snow in parking lots and walkways. Since it does not use boilers or heaters, the running costs are extremely low, and it allows for snow melting that considers the global environment by reducing CO2 emissions. Additionally, this product is patented (Patent No. 6197238, No. 6864707). [Features] ■ Low running costs ■ Consideration for the global environment ■ Simultaneous snow melting in parking lots and walkways ■ Potential reduction in summer air conditioning costs ■ No uneven snow melting *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

Roof snow melting (metal roofing/W-type roof) snow management, snow removal, snow melting.

Handle the snow before it accumulates! It is designed to catch and melt the snow that comes in.

Our company offers "Roof Snow Melting (Metal Roofing/W-Type Roof)." In typical houses, the eaves protrude from the exterior walls in shapes such as gable, hip, or shed roofs, causing snow to slide off. In snowy regions, the snow that slides off these eaves can extend outwards (known as "seppi"), and icicles may grow at the tips. The "W-Type Roof" is designed to save fuel as much as possible and minimize damage from seppi and icicles by incorporating a triangular dam at the eaves of the roof, which catches and melts the incoming snow. [Features] ■ Saves fuel as much as possible ■ Minimizes damage from seppi and icicles ■ Incorporates a triangular dam at the eaves of the roof *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Roof snow melting (metal roofing/M-type roof) snow shoveling, snow throwing, snow clearing.

Drain rainwater and meltwater through internal gutters! It is possible to reduce the heat dissipation rate to about one-third per hour.

Our company offers "Roof Snow Melting (Metal Roofing / M-Type Roof)." The structure, which features a parapet around the roof perimeter and an internal gutter at the center of the roof to drain rainwater and melted snow through the internal gutter, is referred to as an "M-Type Roof." Compared to conventional sloped roofs, it does not create icicles or snow buildup at the eaves, allowing for more flexible time constraints and reducing the heat dissipation rate to about one-third. While it is highly energy-efficient, this method is difficult to adopt unless implemented during new construction, as it imposes constraints on the building's structure. [Features] ■ Parapets are installed around the roof perimeter, and an internal gutter is placed at the center of the roof. ■ Snow moves from both sides of the peak towards the valley's internal gutter while being heated on the roof surface. ■ Unlike conventional sloped roofs, it does not create icicles or snow buildup at the eaves. ■ Time constraints are more flexible. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Information] Here’s what’s different! Seven reasons why Hokueki Snow Melting is chosen.

From melting with brute force to melting wisely! A clear explanation of each point.

In this document, we introduce seven points that make Hokueki Snow Melting a preferred choice. Starting with "a well-balanced snow melting capability developed through research in heavy snowfall areas," we also cover "a snow melting surface boasting high heat dissipation properties (concealed method)," "different piping pitches for each roof surface," and "rust-proof circulating liquid designed with safety in mind," among others. We will explain each point clearly. Please take a moment to read through it. 【Contents (partial)】 ■ A well-balanced snow melting capability developed through research in heavy snowfall areas ■ A snow melting surface boasting high heat dissipation properties (concealed method) ■ Different piping pitches for each roof surface ■ Rain gutter freeze prevention piping to suppress icicle and snow cornice formation ■ From "melting by brute force" to "melting intelligently" *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Construction Example 2] Detached House Roof Snow Melting (Hot Water Type, Exposed Method)

We will install stainless steel piping with excellent long-term durability, or SGP piping with excellent rigidity!

We would like to introduce a case study of roof snow melting (hot water type, exposed method) for detached houses. For existing houses with new finishing materials or stainless steel sheet metal on the roof, the exposed method is suitable if you only wish to melt snow in certain areas. We manufacture fixed brackets to match the working range of the finishing materials and arrange stainless steel piping, which has excellent long-term durability, or SGP piping, which has superior rigidity. Compared to concealed methods, the atmospheric radiation from the surface of the snow melting pipes is greater, so it is necessary to increase the temperature of the circulating liquid, which tends to result in about a 10% increase in fuel consumption. 【Case Overview】 ■ Tokamachi City, Niigata Prefecture ■ Kerosene boiler ■ 134m2 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Construction Case 12] Complex Cultural Facility Roof Snow Melting (Hot Water Type, Concealed Method)

The concrete slab is cut out only around the perimeter, and snow-melting panels are installed! Aluminum composite three-layer pipes are used.

We would like to introduce a case study of roof snow melting (hot water type, concealed method) installation. In the construction of a highly designed complex cultural facility, the design was progressing with a structural strength capable of withstanding 6 meters of snow. However, due to concerns about the impact of snow falling from the roof perimeter onto the surrounding area, it was decided to incorporate roof snow melting urgently. The concrete slab was box-cut only at the perimeter to install the snow melting panels, and considering the long piping length and evaporation of hot water due to induced lightning, aluminum composite three-layer pipes were adopted instead of copper pipes. 【Case Overview】 ■ Tokamachi City, Niigata Prefecture ■ Wall-mounted gas boiler ■ 477 m² *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Video Now Available] Post-Construction Allowed for Existing Homes! Roof Snow Melting

[Anti-snow melting] Electric heater net exposed roof snow melting operation status (Y-san, Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture)

We received a consultation from Mr. Y in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, regarding "icicles falling from the north side of the large roof onto the neighboring house." Nagaoka City is the second largest city in Niigata Prefecture, with a population of about 280,000. The maximum snow depth in February is 77 cm (from 1991 to 2020). Looking at the surrounding scenery, there is quite a significant amount of snowfall. Initially, we considered a hot water circulation system, but since the area of concern was only the north side and it was just a part of the roof, we opted for a lightweight electric heating net system. The electric heating net is suitable for preventing icicles, is lightweight, and can be retrofitted to existing buildings. Even in the thermal imaging footage, only the areas with the net are melting like a pond. We also combined it with an automatic snow detection sensor that operates during the night or when going out. "We are really glad that we no longer have to worry about icicles and snow causing trouble for our neighbors starting this year!" was the joyful feedback we received. We are truly happy that our customer has been freed from their snow-related troubles. Whether for new homes or existing ones, we are here to help with any snow-related issues.

[Video Now Available] Melts evenly even in heavy snowfall! Roof snow melting system

Even construction professionals are convinced! Panel concealed hot water circulation system.

Jōkamachi City is a town with a population of about 50,000, located near Nagano Prefecture, where the deepest snow accumulation in February is 210 cm (1991-2020). When trying to cope with this using electric heater-type snow melting, a large energy requirement of 300 to 350 W per square meter is needed. Therefore, even for a house of about 30 tsubo (approximately 100 square meters), a 30 kW class system is necessary, and in both heavy and light snowfall years, the basic fee will be a burden according to the equipment capacity. In contrast, a hot water circulation system using a boiler or similar as a heat source can freely adjust the output through temperature control, making it more cost-effective for fuel in light snowfall years, which is suitable for heavy snowfall areas. This time, since we are also renovating the roof, we concealed the snow melting panels beneath the metal sheeting. The roof surface warms uniformly, allowing the snow to melt evenly and cleanly. Mr. N himself is the president of a construction company and has been responsible for road snow removal in the area during the winter months, which has meant that the snow at his own home has always been put off until last. Due to this background, he decided to take the plunge and install a roof snow melting system this time. We are here to assist with snow-related issues for both new and existing homes.
